Pilates Reformer is a low impact workout designed to challenge your whole core and promote length, strength, flexibility & balance. This all levels format is ideal for beginners looking to learn the Pilates repertoire as well as seasoned students who are looking to combine deep core work with fun choreography.
Some of the Benefits of Pilates Reformer:
- Increased Core & Full Body Strength
- Improved Flexibility, Mobility & Posture
- Excellent for cross-training, conditioning and sport performance
- A gentle way to reintroduce exercise after a break
- Assist in rehab and help prevent future injuries
Level 1- Great for all levels! The level 1 format will consist of the foundational Reformer movements, with opportunity to progress or regress each movement. All levels will find opportunities to improve strength, mobility and stability.
- New to Reformer
- Recovering from past injury
- Wanting to improve balance, posture and core strength
- Wanting a full body workout without complex movements
Level 2- Must have instructor sign-off and/or at least two previous back-to- back sessions of Reformer. This class will build upon the foundations taught in level 1. There will be an added emphasis on strengthening the core through exercises which rely on abdominal strength to protect the back. Standing work will also be included to improve balance.
Level 3- Must have instructor approval. This class will continue to build upon skills learned in Level 1 and 2. The workout will require fundamental understanding and confidence on the reformers, as participants will be moving through challenging sequences for a full-body workout.
