Aquatics FAQ & General Information
What is the difference between swim lessons and swim coaching?
Swim lessons are for the purpose of learning how to swim. Swim Coaching is for Adults or High Level Youth Swimmers who already know how to swim but need further technique or specialized coaching.
Do you offer swim lessons?
During our Winter Season we offer private swim lessons only. During our Summer Season we offer a variety of YOUTH Group Swim Lessons. Click here for more information about swim lessons
How do I know what level group lesson should I sign my child up for?
We will be holding a Summer Kickoff on June 14th. Please feel free to bring your child down to meet our swim instructors and have your child assessed. If you are unable to come to the event on the 14th, make an educated guess based on your child’s level and brochure descriptions. Feel free to reach out to Alaina Jarrell firstname.lastname@example.org if you need assistance with this process.
What is the Swim Club?
For youth ages 7 and up, Swim Club introduces the sport of swimming in a fun and competitive atmosphere. Weekly practices emphasize proper stroke technique and drills while building endurance.
What are the minimum skills necessary to join the Swim Club?
Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle and 25 yards of backstroke unassisted in order to qualify for the swim club. For younger swimmers, a coach will give an assessment at the first practice to determine whether they are ready to train with the team or if they would benefit more from swim lessons.
